Climate Summit Event - Registration

Closed 20 Feb 2022

Opened 19 Feb 2022

Overview

Hackney Council is organising an online event on Thursday 3 March 2022 to talk with a representative group of residents about the climate crisis. The event will involve active engagement from participants through the use of online quizzes and polls, and is an opportunity to better understand the impact of the climate crisis in Hackney and what steps we might need to take together to address it. The results of this event will inform the development of our Climate Action Plan which is scheduled to go to public consultation around the middle of next year. Please note you don’t need to be an expert in the topic or a computer whizzkid as we want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to contribute.

The event will be circa 3 hours in duration and we want to provide a representative group of attendees - which are likely to number between 50 and 100.

Participants will receive a digital voucher worth £40 for attending and participating actively in the event (please let us know if you require a physical gift card after the event, if selected to take part).

We therefore need to get an indication of interest quickly to ensure we have the right and sufficient attendance to make it a lively and exciting session which is a really good opportunity to help shape the borough’s response to the climate crisis.

Please can you indicate by Friday 18 February 2022 if you would be interested in participating, by completing the following registration survey.

There is also likely to be a more in-depth set of focus groups for participants in the month or so after the online summit event for which there would be separate payment arrangements. Further details will be forthcoming at a later stage.
