Have your say on the 2027/28 admissions arrangements of schools in Hackney

Overview

Hackney Education is consulting on the admission arrangements for community schools for the school year 2027-2028. The consultation document listing the changes can be found here. Individual admissions arrangements include:

• Admission arrangements for Hackney Community Schools
• Admission arrangements for Stoke Newington School Sixth Form
• Scheme of Coordination for Reception and Year 7 admissions
• Scheme of Coordination for In Year admissions

The following 3 voluntary aided schools and academies in Hackney are also consulting on their admission arrangements for the school year 2027-2028.

The proposed admissions arrangements for each school are linked below:

• City of London Academy, Shoreditch Park 
• Skinners' Academy 
• The City Academy, Hackney

Admission arrangements explain how schools decide which pupils have priority for school places, as well as how many places each of the schools can offer. 

The consultation is open from 3 November to 14 December 2025. If you wish to submit your views, you must submit your response during this period.
