Take Part: Air Quality Web Tool Champions
Overview
Thank you for your interest in becoming an air quality champion!
Hackney alongside Tower Hamlets and Newham Councils and the City of London Corporation are currently mid-way through a joint project, funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
For this part of the project, we are looking to recruit air quality champions. Champions will help to share information on air quality with others. For example with other residents or local community or faith groups. Air quality champions will help to improve local understanding of air quality issues. They will also offer practical solutions to others to reduce their exposure to air pollution. This will in turn help contribute to cleaner local air for all.
If this sounds like something you want to get involved in please sign up below to express your interest in becoming an air quality champion.
Please note that you do not need to be an expert in air quality matters or have any prior knowledge to take part. The project team will provide training, resources and support necessary for the role.
One project goal is to ensure air quality communications are accessible to all. Another is to raise awareness of actions we can take to reduce our exposure to air pollution.
A new interactive web tool is already under development. We thank volunteers for helping to design and develop this new resource. The web tool is being updated following feedback from our volunteers. A working beta version will be available in July for testing before going live later this summer.
