In response to concerns about pedestrian safety along London Fields West Side, we are proposing to install staggered barriers at both ends of London Fields West Side, adjacent to Rochford Walk.

The proposed staggered barriers would be installed at both ends of London Fields West Side and will not affect cars entering along London Fields West Side or pedestrians on the pavement adjacent to the road.

The decision to consider these barriers follows concerns raised by local residents about cyclists traveling at high speeds in a shared space, creating a potential hazard for pedestrians, particularly children, the elderly, and those with mobility issues. The proposed barriers are a common traffic-calming measure designed to slow down cyclists and encourage them to be more aware of their surroundings.
