Supporting Residents with Additional Needs to Thrive - Housing Policy

Hackney Housing Services has developed a new draft policy to better support council tenants with additional needs. This policy is based on tenant feedback to improve services and support.

We’re proposing to:

• Train staff to recognise and respond to additional needs.
• Build strong partnerships with other support services.
• Improve data collection to provide consistent, reasonable adjustments.
• Monitor service access to prevent disadvantages.
