Internet Connectivity Business Survey

Overview

Do you own or work for a Hackney business, and have an interest in how the business accesses and uses the internet?  Complete our 5 min survey and help us improve internet connectivity in Hackney!

Hackney Council is working to improve internet connectivity in the borough for residents and businesses. At present only around 5% of SME business premises can access full fibre internet connections, and we aim to fix this.

Full fibre is fast and reliable. Some of the things it could help you do are:

  • Adopt cloud computing solutions (SMEs using Cloud have higher turnover)
  • Move to VOIP telephony
  • Remote working and video conferencing
  • Improve productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness
  • Generate new business

You can see some examples of what other businesses have achieved with full fibre here: https://gigabitvoucher.culture.gov.uk/for-businesses/case-studies/

Why your views matter

We want to find out how important good internet connectivity is for your business, what you think of your current internet provision, and if there are any barriers that prevent you from accessing an internet connection which offers greater capacity and speed.

We also want to find out what you think of our proposals, and hear any suggestions or comments you have.

By completing this survey you will help us understand the demand for better internet services among businesses, and your views will help shape the plans we take forward.
