London Fields Lido Teaching Pool
Overview
Hackney Council is committed to improving the quality of its leisure facilities throughout the Borough, one recent example being the development of the new award-winning Britannia Leisure Centre in Hoxton.
London Fields Lido is a hugely popular and much-loved local facility, welcoming over 340,000 visitors last year. We are proposing to make improvements to the Lido, with the development of a new teaching pool to expand the swimming offer to a wider section of the community.
We will be holding a number of Drop-in Sessions to discuss the background of the proposal, outline what the project involves, and answer any questions you have.
Please do join us at any of the drop-in sessions at London Fields Lido on the following dates:
- Wednesday 15th March, 3pm - 7pm
- Thursday 16th March, 4pm - 8pm
- Saturday 25th March, 11am - 2pm
Representatives from the Council’s project team will be in attendance, and we are keen to hear your feedback on our proposals.

Why your views matter
The feedback we received will be taken on board and used to fine-tune the scheme prior to submission of the planning application later in the year.
