Levy Memorial Gardens Consultation

Closed 19 Nov 2014

Opened 27 Oct 2014

Overview

Hackney Council is working in partnership with Groundwork London to develop a proposal for the improvement of Levy Memorial Gardens.  The improvements will potentially be funded from the Pocket Parks Programme.

Why your views matter

Pocket parks are part of the Mayor’s London’s Great Outdoors - the programme to improve streets, squares, parks, and canal and riverside spaces across London. Pocket parks are small areas of inviting public space for all people to enjoy, providing relief from the hustle and bustle of the city. These spaces have trees and greenery; they are open to all; they have places to sit and relax and for people to come together; and they  contribute to making the city friendlier, greener and more resilient.

Levy Gardens sits on Yoakley road just off Church Street in Stoke Newington.  There has been a  food growing interest at Levy Gardens in the past and Groundwork are leading the consultation to find out what the site is now used for and what local people would like to see improved here.

The consultation is open to everyone and the information we hope to gather involves identifying present uses for the site, gather improvement suggestions and how people would like to be involved with the project.
