Have your say on the Future Shoreditch Area Action Plan

Overview

Have your say on the Future Shoreditch AAP – Regulation 19 Consultation

We are consulting on the Regulation 19 version of the Future Shoreditch Area Action Plan (AAP). This stage has been informed by earlier engagement, including the Regulation 18 consultation and wider work with residents, businesses and stakeholders across Shoreditch.

The Regulation 19 consultation is the final stage of public engagement before the draft plan is submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for independent examination.

Please read the Future Shoreditch Area Action Plan (AAP) – Regulation 19 Publication Version before sharing your views. Scroll down to Online survey at the bottom of this page to take part.

Why your views matter

This consultation is the last opportunity to provide comments before the Future Shoreditch AAP is submitted for examination.

The Regulation 19 Publication Version, all responses received during the consultation, and the supporting evidence base will be submitted to the government for independent examination. A Planning Inspector will test the plan to determine whether it is sound. To be sound, a plan must:

  • meet the objectively assessed needs of the area
  • be justified by proportionate evidence
  • be effective and capable of being delivered
  • be consistent with national planning policy.

To be legally compliant, the plan must:

  • be prepared in line with the Council’s Local Development Scheme
  • be accompanied by a Sustainability Appraisal and Habitats Regulations Assessment
  • be consulted on in accordance with the Council’s Statement of Community Involvement
  • comply with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012
  • be in general conformity with the London Plan.

Please read the full Future Shoreditch AAP (Regulation 19 Publication Version) before responding.
