PACKAGE 2 – Wilks Place

We’re looking at how Wilks Place could be improved to create a more welcoming and inclusive space, better suited to public performances and encouraging community use.

Proposed Changes include:

  • Planting trees
  • A smoother, continuous public space with patterned, coloured paving
  • New street lighting and temporary event lighting (awnings/festoon lights)
  • Artwork/murals on walls
  • A new bin storage area with a concrete floor
  • A new low wall with signage at the estate entrance
  • Two new ramps (one with a 125mm rise and one with a 50mm rise) for easier access
  • Signage set into the landing area
  • A door that opens both ways for easier access
