PACKAGE 2 – Wilks Place
We’re looking at how Wilks Place could be improved to create a more welcoming and inclusive space, better suited to public performances and encouraging community use.
Proposed Changes include:
- Planting trees
- A smoother, continuous public space with patterned, coloured paving
- New street lighting and temporary event lighting (awnings/festoon lights)
- Artwork/murals on walls
- A new bin storage area with a concrete floor
- A new low wall with signage at the estate entrance
- Two new ramps (one with a 125mm rise and one with a 50mm rise) for easier access
- Signage set into the landing area
- A door that opens both ways for easier access
