Improving The Pedestrian Experience In Hoxton
Overview
Across workshops, street pop-ups and neighbourhood walkabouts, residents told us that getting around Hoxton can feel difficult. Narrow footpaths, fast-moving traffic, parked vehicles and unclear routes were common concerns, particularly for people with pushchairs, mobility aids or young children. Safety after dark was also raised frequently.
This theme focuses on making streets easier, safer and more comfortable to use on foot.
This theme focuses on:
- Creating safer, clearer and more accessible walking routes
- Improving comfort and safety for people of all ages and abilities
- Strengthening connections between key streets and destinations
