Well Street Area Travel Survey
Overview
A greener and healthier borough
Earlier this year, the Council’s Cabinet approved plans to create greener, healthier environments and better support people to walk, shop and cycle locally. One of these areas is in Hackney Wick and is the area bounded by Well Street, Cassland Road and Wick Road.
The Council has successfully secured funding from Transport for London (TfL) via its Safer Streets Programme to develop proposals for this area.
What is this survey about?
This survey aims to gather feedback on the changes and improvements you would like to see in the area, including ways to enhance the public spaces, transport and to understand how you currently travel in the area. We are also speaking directly with local community groups and businesses and listening to their experiences of travelling in the local area.
How will we use this information?
The information you provide will be used to draft proposals to make the area safer, healthier and more welcoming and accessible, addressing road safety concerns and improving the public spaces. This information will be confidential and not be shared with anyone outside the Council, though it will be available for use by other internal Council departments.
We will use this study to:
- Make the area easier to walk and cycle in
- Improve journey times for buses and ambulances
- Help reduce pollution for local residents and businesses in residential areas and main roads
- Improve the Well Street area as a place to visit and shop, including on market days
This survey will take 5 to 7 minutes to complete
