Well Street Area Travel Survey
Overview
A greener and healthier borough
Earlier this year, the Council’s Cabinet approved plans for further areas of the borough to benefit from a greener, healthier environment, as well as support more people to walk, shop and cycle locally. One of these areas is in Hackney Wick, in the area bounded by Well Street, Cassland Road and Wick Road.
We have been successful in obtaining funding from Transport for London (TfL) through the Safer Streets Programme to develop proposals for this area.
What is this survey about?
This survey aims to gather feedback on the changes and improvements you would like to see in the area, including ways to enhance public spaces, traffic and transport, and to understand how you currently travel in the area. We are also speaking directly with local community groups and businesses, and listening to their experiences of travelling in the local area.
How will we use this information?
The information you provide will be used to draft proposals to make the area safer, healthier, and more welcoming and accessible, addressing road safety concerns and improving public spaces.
We will use this study to:
- Make walking and cycling in the area, and on main roads, easier.
- Improve journey times for buses and ambulances.
- Help reduce pollution for local residents and businesses on residential areas and on main roads.
- Improve the Well Street area as a place to visit and shop.
This survey will take 5 to 7 minutes to complete
