Well Street Business Travel Survey

Overview

A greener, healthier neighbourhood

Earlier this year, the Council’s Cabinet approved plans for additional areas of the borough to benefit from a greener, healthier environment, and to better support more people to walk, shop and cycle locally. One of these areas is in Hackney Wick, in the area between Well Street, Cassland Road and Wick Road.

We have been successful in obtaining funding from Transport for London (TfL), through the Safer Streets Programme, to develop proposals for the area. Your responses will help us understand how local businesses operate day to day, including deliveries, loading, servicing and travel.

What is this survey about?

This survey asks for your experience and views on business travel in the Well Street area, including your delivery routes, existing parking and loading arrangements, and what changes you would like the Council to introduce.

How will we use this information?

The information you provide will be used to inform decisions and refine proposals. A report will be published on the consultation findings. Any personal or identifying information will not be included in the report and will not be shared with anyone outside the Council. However, it will be available for use by other internal Council departments.

We will use this study to:

  • Make walking and cycling in the area, and on main roads, easier.
  • Improve journey times for buses and ambulances.
  • Help reduce pollution for local residents and businesses in residential areas and on main roads.
  • Improve the Well Street area as a place to visit and shop.
