Woodberry Down Phase 5 - Non-Resident Leaseholder Survey

Overview

We are currently undertaking an information-gathering exercise to better understand the ownership and occupancy status of properties situated within the next phase of the Woodberry Down Regeneration Project.

Our records indicate that you are the legal owner of a property within this area, but that the premises are not currently your primary residence (e.g., the property is currently let to tenants).

As we move forward, we want to ensure that all non-resident leaseholders are fully informed of the upcoming proposals. The purpose of this survey is to:

  • Confirm the current occupancy and tenure of your property.

  • Gauge your awareness of the specific regeneration proposals for your block or phase.

  • Identify any potential impacts these developments may have on your property interests.

Your feedback is essential in helping us communicate effectively with all stakeholders and ensuring that you receive the necessary support and information throughout this process.

While there is no need for immediate action we will eventually require you to vacate and sell the property to us. Our preference is to do this by negotiation and agreement, but we will also be progressing the preparation of a compulsory purchase order (CPO) in 2026.

Please return this form by using the pre-paid envelope or at the next engagement session.

If you have any questions or would like to request this survey in a different language or format, please contact Lewis Cooper (Regeneration Manager) by email or phone  lewis.cooper@hackney.gov.uk / 020 8356 8671

We understand you may want advice from someone outside the Council. You can contact the Independent Tenant and Leasehold Adviser who is funded by the Council but works entirely for the residents to provide impartial guidance.
