Woodberry Down Phase 5-Private Tenant Survey

Overview

As part of the long-term masterplan for Woodberry Down, the Council has officially identified Phase 5 as the next stage for regeneration. As the resident of a property within this phase, we are contacting you now to begin an early dialogue and ensure you are fully informed of the upcoming process. 

New homes will be built in place of your home, which means your landlord will need to move you and any other residents out of the property before selling it to the Council, so that we can build the planned new homes. At this stage, no one is being asked to move home immediately. There are currently no immediate moves planned, however the council will confirm the timeline for moves in the coming months, and are to begin preparations for a Compulsory Purchase Order in 2026.

Our current goal is to establish clear lines of communication with you and your landlord. We wish to understand the current status of your property and provide you with the necessary information regarding your options as the regeneration progresses. By gathering this information now, we can ensure that you are kept up to date with any developments that may affect your home.

We understand you may want advice from someone outside the Council. You can contact the Independent Tenant and Leasehold Adviser who is funded by the Council but works entirely for the residents to provide impartial guidance.
