E.g. A new baby or an elderly relative moving in. This will help us to predict the housing needs of your household. Residency rights for relatives and friends do not include entitlement to a property within the Woodberry Down development.

4. Do you wish to apply for a split household move?

A split household occurs when an existing secure tenant lives with adult family members (usually children or siblings over 18) who have lived there for at least 12 months prior to the decant process. Under the Woodberry Down rehousing policy, the household is "split" so that:

  • The main tenant moves into a new-build property suitable for their needs.

  • The adult family member(s) are offered their own separate, independent tenancy in a different unit often a 1 bed flat in Council ownership.

Please note all split households are reviewed on a case by case basis and are subject to eligibility checks and stock availability.
