Overview

Hackney Council and Hackney Homes would like your views on the proposal to return the management of your home to the Council.

We are consulting you on the joint proposal to return housing management to the Council in April 2016. The outcome of this consultation will not affect your tenancy; you will remain a Council tenant with the same tenancy agreement.

Every registered Hackney Homes’ secure and introductory tenant and leaseholder will be sent a letter, a questionnaire and a summary document explaining the proposal. It is important for each person that received a letter to reply by returning the questionnaire or taking part online.

.

Why your views matter

Hackney Homes was set up to manage the improvement of tenants’ homes to meet the Decent Homes standard. This is due to be completed in April 2015.

As the Council’s management contract with Hackney Homes is due to end on 31 March 2016, we want to gather your views on how your home should be managed in future.

For more information on this consultation see Summary Document and FAQ’s below.

What happens next

Results of the consultation will be published in the Hackney Homes newsletter and Hackney Homes website and Hackney Council website.
