Have your say on the future of the Wick Village Estate play area
We are asking residents for their views on how the closed play area on Wick Village Estate could be improved in future.
The current play area has been closed for around a year because the equipment is damaged and no longer safe to use. We now need to decide what should happen to the space.
We know the needs of the estate may have changed over time. There has previously been some interest in alternative uses for the space, such as outdoor gym equipment, but this was raised some time ago. We now want to understand what residents think would be most useful today.
What we want to understand
This consultation will help us understand:
- who lives on the estate
- who might use this space
- what residents would find most useful
- whether the space should remain focused on play, or include other uses
What could the space include?
We are looking at a number of realistic options. These could include:
- a play area for children
- a smaller play area with additional features
- outdoor gym equipment
- a more general shared space
- a mix of these options
No decision has been made
We have not made a final decision about the future of the space. Your feedback will help us understand what residents want and what would work best for the estate.
