Butterfield Green Play Areas

Closed 27 Jun 2021

Opened 24 May 2021

In 2020 we developed a new 10 year Parks and Green Spaces Strategy, which includes a commitment to investing in and improving the borough's parks and to working with children, young people and their families to improve them.

So far in 2021 we have already started work to consult and engage people on projects to improve play in Clissold Park and Clapton Pond and funding has also been approved for a further four sites: Butterfield Green, Clapton Square, Haggerston Park and Stoke Newington Common.

Why your views matter

Butterfield Green has three formal play areas spread across the park, the toddler play area on Shakespeare Walk, the play area in the south of the park adjacent to Cowper Road and the stream play space in the centre of the park.

During this phase of work we will be improving the stream play space and the play area adjacent to Cowper Road. If you live around or use either of these sites we’d love your feedback to help shape the final set of designs for these spaces.

Due to the current social distancing restrictions we aren’t able to run design and feedback sessions with children, families and schools in the way we usually do. If you have children in your home we’d love to hear what they think of the designs. Please include their views when completing the survey.

Please take time to view the designs before completing the survey by clicking on the links below.
