Overview

Residents can help to shape the future of Stamford Hill by having their say on the latest stage of the local Area Action Plan

Hundreds of residents have so far shared their views and ideas as part of the drafting of Stamford Hill’s Area Action Plan. Once adopted, this planning document will provide a detailed planning framework for the next 15 years.

It aims to manage the pressures and demands of future growth in the neighbourhood in a way that benefits the local community.

Why your views matter

Following an extensive 18-month programme of community workshops and local meetings, a number of priorities have been identified. These include more family homes, improving public space, providing new schools and community facilities and improving the local retail centres.

These priorities are now captured in the draft ‘issues & options’ plan, which is being consulted on across the neighbourhood. The draft priorities sit under the following headings:

  • Good quality design
  • Housing
  • Open space
  • Transport
  • Local shopping centres and the economy
  • Meeting community needs
