Future Shoreditch Consultation 2024 (Regulation 18)

Closed 23 Sep 2024

Opened 8 Jul 2024

Overview

We are extending this consultation in response to an error in the wording of question 7a.

Previously, 7a repeated a question on Affordable Workspace instead of asking about Affordable Homes. This affected a small number of respondents. If you responded to the survey before 7 August and would like to provide a response to this question, please email futureshoreditch@hackney.gov.uk

All existing and new comments received in the consultation will be analysed and used to inform the next draft of the Future Shoreditch Area Action Plan. No decision will be made on the proposals until after the consultation has closed.

The consultation will now close on 23 September 2024.

Have your say on the Future Shoreditch Consultation (Regulation 18)

We are now consulting on the Future Shoreditch Area Action Plan (AAP) Regulation 18. This has been informed by previous consultations, including our last consultation for the draft plan undertaken in 2019.

This consultation includes two parts:

We want your views on the policies in the draft Future Shoreditch Area Action Plan, and on the suggested updates to the plan set out in the Direction of Travel document. We need you to tell us if you agree with these suggestions, or if we have missed any opportunities or issues you think need to be included in the plan.

The AAP will affect decisions in places where you live, work, shop and enjoy. We want to make sure we have got these updates right.

Before sharing your views, you can read:

We understand there are lots of questions in this consultation - please feel free to choose the areas or questions you would like to respond to. Alternatively, in the questionnaire you can complete the ‘Quick Feedback’ if you would prefer to leave comments on the overall plan.

The consultation is open from 8 July 2024 until 11.59pm on 9 September 2024.

Why your views matter

Shoreditch has experienced a lot of change since we last consulted on the draft
plan.

We have been gathering evidence to ensure that we fully understand the changes that have happened, and what is happening in Shoreditch now.

We think that most of the draft Future Shoreditch Area Action Plan we consulted on is still relevant today, but we have identified areas that we think need updating.

If you have any questions or experience any difficulty in submitting your feedback, please contact us, the Strategic Planning Team, via email at futureshoreditch@hackney.gov.uk or by telephone on 020 8356 8062.
