Hoxton Street Conservation Area was designated in 1983 as a historic commercial street with a number of good quality buildings surviving from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
However, no appraisal of the Conservation Area has been conducted until now. Hackney Council has undertaken comprehensive research for a new Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan, including a proposed boundary extension to the east.
