Overview

This project has improved the public space outside Hoxton Hall, making the entrance to this important cultural and community venue more welcoming, visible and accessible.

The improvements help strengthen the connection between Hoxton Hall and Hoxton Street, while creating a safer and more attractive environment for people walking through the area.

What has happened

Public realm improvements have been completed outside the entrance to Hoxton Hall.

The completed works include:

• a new raised table in the road
• footway and pavement improvements
• a wider pedestrian area outside the venue
• improvements to the pedestrian crossing on Hoxton Street
• new planting outside the Hoxton Hall entrance.

The changes have improved the area immediately outside the venue and created a clearer and more welcoming entrance from Hoxton Street.

How this project responds

This project responds by improving the setting and accessibility of Hoxton Hall, helping the venue feel more visible and connected to Hoxton Street.

The new raised table, footway improvements, wider pedestrian space and planting create a safer and more inviting environment outside the entrance. These changes support easier pedestrian movement and improve the experience of arriving at and passing the venue.

By improving the public space around a valued cultural and community organisation, the project also supports Hoxton Hall’s role within the wider neighbourhood.
